Supper Club

Hosted by William Norton from Rootle Food

Rootle supper clubs and cookery classes take place throughout the year in the converted stables at Mothecombe House and, in the warmer months, in a meadow overlooking Mothecombe Beach.

The suppers celebrate seasonal, ethical and local produce and previous menus have included beef from John Mildmay-White’s Flete Mob, hogget from Orchard Farm and seasonal vegetables from farms on the Flete Estate and in the surrounding area. Many of the growers and farmers attend the events and it makes for a lovely evening of conversation and good food, at a beautifully styled trestle table complete with cut flowers from Flowers From the Patch at Mothecombe Gardens.

The purpose of Rootle cookery classes and  events is to connect people with their food and where it comes from, and to celebrate the people who grow, rear and gather it. They hold events ranging from farm walks, to see how meat and vegetables can be produced in harmony with nature, through to day courses in sourdough bread making and fermenting.

Tickets sell out quickly, so keep an eye on @rootle_ for the next events!
