A deposit of 50% of the rent is payable on confirmation of bookings. The balance of the total rent is due six weeks before the commencement of the tenancy. If the balance of the total rent remains unpaid, The Flete Estate reserves the right to relet the property and the deposit will be forfeited.

1(a) We do not store credit card details nor do we share customer details with any 3rd parties. You have agreed permission to share your personal details with the company & may be sent any marketing materials or offers.

1(b) We do not issue refunds on cancellations unless we manage to resell the week for you. This includes if you have to cancel because you or your family have Covid, if someone has an illness or other. However, we will do our best to resell your week for you. If we do not manage to resell the week you will still be liable for the final balance. We would recommend to take out travel insurance in case for any emergencies. There will be £100 cancellation charge.

1(c) If you need to amend the dates of your booking there will be a £25 service charge to cover admin time.

Upon payment of the deposit and subject to the acceptance of the booking, the applicant becomes liable for the balance of the rent for the full period of the letting.

Deposit must be paid at the time of booking to secure your booking. This includes all rebook bookings too.

3.Under no circumstances shall the maximum accommodation indicated for a cottage or house be exceeded.

Tenants are liable to pay for any breakages or damage at replacement value.

Before tenant’s arrival, the house will have been thoroughly cleaned. Tenants are requested to leave the house, as far as possible, in the condition that they would like to find it i.e. all crockery, cutlery, kitchen utensils, cooker, refrigerator, baths and sinks in a clean condition and furniture in its proper place. The owners reserve the right to make a charge for any tenant who leaves the house or equipment excessively dirty.

The tenant undertakes to pay all charges for all telephone calls made during the letting.

Pets are permitted at an extra cost of £20 per pet per week and by prior arrangement only. A maximum of two dogs is allowed per cottage. You are requested not to allow pets to foul the area around the property and to make sure dogs are kept on a lead whilst walking through the estate. DOGS ARE NOT ALLOWED ON THE PRIVATE BEACH AT MOTHECOMBE BETWEEN MAY AND THE END OF SEPTEMBER.

Tenants are requested to respect the wildlife, farm animals, The Country Code of Conduct and the rural way of life which includes Field Sports on the Estate.

The Flete Estate shall not be liable for any loss, damage, expense, accident, injury or inconvenience whether to person or property which the applicant or any other person may suffer or sustain arising out of or in respect of any letting.

The Flete Estate gives all information and makes all statements in good faith, and uses its best endeavours to check, so far as it is reasonably able, all information given to the applicant. The Flete Estate shall not, however, in any event, be liable for any damage or loss resulting from information

given or statements made whether orally or in writing.

The property owner or his representatives shall be allowed access to the holiday accommodation at any reasonable time during any holiday occupancy.

If you have a complaint during your stay, please contact THE FLETE ESTATE OFFICE IMMEDIATELY. All appliances will be fully operational but unfortunately breakdowns beyond our control sometimes occur and we will endeavour to make sure these are repaired as soon as possible during your stay. No complaints can be considered after your departure from the property.
