We have two beautiful wedding venues to choose from, whether you’re looking for a small, relaxed celebration at Mothecombe Gardens & The Stables, or a more elegant country-house wedding at Pamflete House for a larger party.
Whichever you choose, we give you the freedom to hire the venue and create the day exactly as you want it. Bring in your own caterers, suppliers, flowers, styling, entertainment and decorations, and make the space completely personal to you. From an intimate wedding with up to 50 guests to a larger celebration of up to 120, we have the perfect setting for your special day.

Dining & Entertainment
Mothecombe Stables
Mothecombe Stables offers a relaxed and flexible space for dining and entertaining, with two stable rooms that can each accommodate up to 24 guests.
For a more informal celebration, you could make the most of the outdoor space with one long trestle table, creating a beautiful family-style dining experience where everyone can sit together and enjoy the surroundings.
Alternatively, one of the stable rooms could be used for welcome drinks and canapés, providing a relaxed space for guests to gather before moving outside for dinner or continuing the celebrations elsewhere.
The space is yours to style and make your own, whether you’re planning an intimate dinner, relaxed summer celebration or wedding reception.
Suppliers
Local suppliers near us
All additional event equipment will need to be hired separately. This includes tables and chairs, table linen, table decorations, crockery, glassware and anything else you may need for your celebration. This gives you the freedom to choose the style, suppliers and finishing touches that suit you and your day.
When it comes to food, the choice is yours. Whether you’re looking for a fine dining experience with a private chef preparing fresh food in the kitchen, prefer to order and stock your own food, or want something a little more relaxed such as a food van, we’re happy to help.
We can point you in the right direction with local suppliers and share our recommendations and experience to help you create the perfect dining experience for your celebration.
Ceremony
In the Walled gardens
All guests will need to park in Mothecombe Car Park and walk through the village to access the gardens and Mothecombe Stables.
Please note that parking is £6.50 per car from April to September. If you prefer, this is something you can arrange in advance and cover the parking fee for all of your guests, making it easier for everyone on the day.
The walk through the village is a lovely way for guests to arrive and adds to the relaxed, countryside feel of the setting.
Weddings at Pamflete House
A Grade listed House in the heart of Pamflete Valley
Pamflete House offers a beautiful and private setting for weddings of up to 120 guests, surrounded by stunning gardens, countryside and the Devon coast.
Couples can enjoy the house, and gardens, with flexible options for ceremonies, drinks, wedding breakfasts and evening celebrations.
We offer the freedom to choose your own caterers, suppliers and styling, allowing you to create a wedding that feels personal and unique. With plenty of space for photographs and celebrations, Pamflete is the perfect setting for a relaxed and memorable country-house wedding.

Pamflete House offers beautiful scenic backdrops for your wedding photographs throughout the estate, from the gardens and surrounding countryside to the stunning grounds.
Our private beach is just a short walk away, giving you the perfect opportunity to capture those beautiful beach shots and create truly memorable photographs of your special day.
Marquee at Pamflete
In the beautiful grounds of Pamflete Valley
You simply hire the venue with us and have the freedom to design and style the space however you like. You’re welcome to bring in your own suppliers and even hire a marquee, keeping your guests and celebrations separate from the house if you wish.
With our large gravel car park, there is plenty of space for a generous marquee with dining and dancing areas, as well as room for food vans to add something fun and relaxed to your wedding.
Venue Hire
In the beautiful grounds of Pamflete Valley
We don’t currently hold a licence for legal wedding ceremonies, but our venues provide the perfect setting for your wedding breakfast and evening celebration. You can arrange your ceremony elsewhere and then continue the celebrations with us, enjoying the beautiful surroundings and freedom to create the day your way.
We also have a selection of accommodation across the estate, making it easy for you and your guests to stay nearby and enjoy the celebrations together.
Accommodation Available

We have a selection of self-catering holiday properties available across the estate, making it easy for you and your guests to stay close to the wedding celebrations.
Pamflete House can accommodate up to 18 guests, while our other properties sleep between 4 and 12 guests. Please note that availability can be limited depending on the time of year, as we operate a rebooking system where existing guests have first refusal on the same week the following year. We therefore recommend enquiring early if you would like to arrange accommodation for your wedding party and guests.

We also have two beautiful cabins situated just up the road from Pamflete, each sleeping up to 4 guests with two double beds.
They offer a cosy and unique stay, with a wood-fired hot tub, hot outdoor shower and log burner, making them perfect for guests looking for something a little different. T
he cabins can be booked in advance for both short and longer stays, making them a great option for wedding guests who want to extend their stay and enjoy the surrounding area.
